Summer has truly arrived and there’s nothing like a refreshing iced tea to quench the thirst on a sweltering day. Today, Starbucks introduced Teavana Shaked Iced Tea Infusions – the perfect summer treat! Three Starbucks Iced Tea Flavours are joining the permanent menu: Peach Citrus Flavoured White Tea, Pineapple Flavoured Black Tea, and Strawberry Flavoured Green Tea.

Low Calorie, Low Sugar
The Starbucks Iced Tea infusions are made with freshly steeped fruit and botanical blends, combined with premium Teavana iced tea and slightly sweetened with just a touch of liquid cane sugar. These drinks are a low-calorie and refreshing new option for customers to enjoy on warm summer afternoons and beyond. Just like any of Starbucks beverages, you can customize tea bases or enjoy without liquid cane sugar – the possibilities seem endless! When unsweetened, the drinks are 0 calories and 0 grams of sugar. A Tall is $3.25.
Trying Three Flavours
At the media tasting, we tried the three flavours of Shaken Iced tea: Peach Citrus Flavoured White Tea, Pineapple Flavoured Black Tea, and Strawberry Flavoured Green Tea. I found all the drinks to be refreshing and light, just subtly sweet and hitting all the fruity notes. The Peach Citrus Flavoured White Tea was the lightest, followed with Strawberry Flavoured Green Tea, and the Pineapple Flavoured Black Tea was the most tropical fun-filling. These drinks can also be made carbonated for a sharper taste (I would recommend it!). My favourite was the Pineapple Black Tea which had the right balance of pineapple and black tea flavour.
Free Tea Friday
On Friday, July 14 from 1 – 2 pm, Starbucks is hosting Free Tea Friday where customers can try a free Tall (12 oz.) Tea in Pineapple Black Tea, Strawberry Green Tea or Peach Citrus Tea at participating company-operated and selected licensed stores in Canada, while supplies last. In-store only, not available for order via Mobile Order & Pay.
