South Florida Restaurants Give Back during October for Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a number of South Florida restaurants are donating proceeds to benefit this worthwhile cause.

Tanuki

Tanuki will feature a limited time only cocktail, Ume Blossom, for the month of October with a portion of proceeds donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.

The special pink-hued cocktail is made with Ten High Whiskey, Plum Liqueur, Yuzu, Infused Hibiscus, and a Hibiscus/salt rim.

4 Rivers Smokehouse

Support the cause with 4 Rivers Smokehouse from October 3rd – October 29th where guests will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar amount with proceeds to benefit Advent Health for Women.

Smokehouses will also be offering Pink Nachos ($9.99) made with pink tortilla chips fried to order, topped with choice of meat, pico de gallo, guasacaca, nacho cheese sauce, cilantro lime creme fresh, pickled jalapenos, cilantro with partial proceeds also benefiting Advent Health for Women.

Bodega Taqueria Y Tequila

All month long in October, Bodega will be featuring a Spicy Strawberry Margarita ($14) partnering with Mijenta Tequila in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and $1 from every cocktail sold will be donated to Dolphins Cancer Challenge.

La Mar by Gastón Acurio

La Mar by Gaston Acurio will offer a special themed—and remarkably delicious— dish during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Pink Causa for a Cause ($27) is a terrine of potato puree plated in the shape of a ribbon, tinted pink by the addition of beets, and includes crabmeat, sunchokes, salmon, avocado, smoked trout roe and creamy huancaina sauce, a specialty of award-winning executive chef Diego Oka. 

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation during October.

Shula’s

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shula’s corporate will be making a donation to Moffitt on behalf of their restaurants.

The Shula Fund supports Florida’s top cancer hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center, raising funds for breast cancer care and research to improve cancer patient outcomes throughout Florida and beyond.

Kiki On The River

Kiki On The River will be mixing up something special for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the Dr. Feel-Good mocktail ($12). A refreshing blend of watermelon juice, lime juice, ginger beer, and mint. For every Dr. Feel-Good mocktail sold, Kiki On The River will donate 20% of the proceeds to Susan G. Komen for breast cancer research, it’s a simple yet delicious way to contribute to a crucial cause. The Positano Pink Grapefruit Spritz ($14)  is a delightful and refreshing cocktail that evokes the vibrant and sunny atmosphere of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. It combines the bittersweet and citrusy flavors of pink grapefruit and the refreshing taste of Ketel One Grapefruit and Rose vodka. Nikki Beach Miami Beach will be donating 50% of the proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
