Son Of A Nutcracker Cocktail Recipe

Named after the quote from Buddy in Elf, this crimson cocktail by the Lead Bartender Heather Blanchard at The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels New Orleans features Empress Rose Gin, Yuzu Liqueur, Combier Orange Liqueur, pomegranate juice, and edible flowers.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Empress Rose Gin
  • .25 oz Yuzu Liqueur
  • .5 oz Combier Orange Liqueur
  • .75 Pomegranate juice
  • .5 oz Rosemary reduction (see recipe below)
  • 4 dashes orange bitters
  • Garnish: Edible Flowers

Method

  1. Build cocktail in a shaker
  2. Shake and strain into a coupe
  3. Garnish with Edible Flowers

Rosemary Reduction Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 quart sugar
  • 5 Rosemary Sprigs

Method

  1. Combine Rosemary and water and turn on medium-low heat
  2. Let the rosemary infuse for at least 10 minutes
  3. Add sugar & stir until dissolved
