Kupfert & Kim has become a familiar name in Toronto for plant-based food with a menu of nourishing bowls, treats, smoothies and more.

We visited their Yorkville location which is tucked behind 100 Bloor Street West on Critchley Lane. This outpost is steps away from Village of Yorkville Park, making it easy to pick up a meal and enjoy it outdoors on a nice day. Here’s a look at what we tried.

The Miso Ginger Broth Bowl brought together the savoury depth of miso with the sharpness of ginger, while kimchi gave the dish a tangy kick. Tofu added creaminess, and broccoli and mushrooms made the bowl filling without feeling heavy.

The Oaxaca showcased bold contrasts with creamy guacamole and cashew cream layered over kale and pico de gallo. Black beans and brown rice made it nicely filling and tortilla chips added a crisp finish.

As for treats, the Chocolate Oat Square was chewy and nutty with chocolate woven through each bite. The Paleo Cookie was satisfying with cashews and seeds bringing a rich, earthy quality.

For drinks, we enjoyed the Green Smoothie which featured a blend of organic kale, banana, pear and more.

The oat-milk based Açaí Smoothie was smooth with the tartness of açaí balanced by strawberries and banana.

Kupfert & Kim Yorkville makes it easy to enjoy plant-based food that feels both thoughtful and satisfying, whether you are stopping in for a quick bite or settling in with a full bowl.
The space itself is bright and modern, with weekday hours from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm and weekends starting at 10:30 am.

Kupfert & Kim Yorkville is located between Bellair St & Barry’s, 83 Critchley Ln., Toronto, ON.
