Orlando Gains First Two MICHELIN Star Restaurant in 2025

Orlando’s culinary scene continues to evolve with new recognition from the MICHELIN Guide Florida. The 2025 edition expands the spotlight on Florida’s restaurants, and this year, the city reached a new milestone: its first Two MICHELIN Star restaurant. The announcement was made at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, where chefs and restaurateurs gathered for the annual reveal.

Sorekara, located in Baldwin Park, now holds two MICHELIN Stars. The restaurant, led by Chef William Shen, offers a structured tasting menu inspired by Japan’s 72 micro-seasons. Diners move through multiple rooms during the experience, which features dishes like Hokkaido kegani in a savoury broth and a nigiri course designed to resemble a convenience store snack run. The restaurant operates with a single seating on limited nights, creating an intimate and focused service model.

Ômo by Jônt, a new addition in Winter Park, received one MICHELIN Star. Chef Mike Commins blends French techniques with Japanese ingredients across three seasonal tasting menus. Dishes such as chawanmushi with braised sweet potato and scallop served two ways reflect careful balance and a clear kitchen philosophy.

The MICHELIN Guide also presented the Outstanding Service Award to Austin Joseph of Sorekara, recognizing the team’s attention to detail and guest experience.

Orlando’s Bib Gourmand list continues to grow, with new entries like Smokemade Meats + Eats, Bánh Mì Boy, Coro, and UniGirl, each offering quality cooking at a moderate price point.

In total, the city now holds one Two Star, eight One Star, 15 Bib Gourmand, and 35 Recommended restaurants. Other notable Starred locations include Kadence, Camille, Soseki Modern Omakase, Victoria & Albert’s, and Capa Steakhouse & Bar.

More information about Orlando’s dining scene is available through Visit Orlando, which continues to support local restaurants as they gain national and international attention.
