Here’s to saying goodbye to 2025 and welcoming a new year. Here are ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in New Orleans including events and special offerings by restaurants and local businesses.

New Year’s Eve is Wednesday, December 31 and New Year’s Day is Thursday, January 1.

New Year’s Eve New Orleans 2025 and Day Brunch 2026

This list is not exhaustive and I update the information becomes available. I try to feature as much as I can but certainly this is not all that is out there. If your favorite restaurant is not on the list, I would recommend contacting them to see what they are offering.

Costera in New Orleans is offering a New Year’s Eve family-style four-course tasting menu on Wednesday, December 31. Priced at $75 per person, the menu includes shared starters such as little neck clams and blistered shishito peppers, followed by entrées like crispy duck pasta and grilled hanger steak. Dinner is designed for group dining and reservations are available online.

Osteria Lupo in New Orleans is offering a four-course, family-style New Year’s Eve tasting menu priced at $75 per person. The menu begins with options such as beef carpaccio or Louisiana blue crab salad, followed by pasta courses including radiatori and spaghetti alla chitarra, with mains like scallops or grilled lamb rack.

Compère Lapin in New Orleans is offering a New Year’s Eve prix-fixe menu priced at $150 per person, served during regular hours. Dishes include chilled cauliflower soup with caviar, tuna tartar with coconut and jerk peanuts, beef rib with breadfruit and potato crema, and chocolate semifreddo. On New Year’s Day, the restaurant returns to its regular à la carte menu.

Tujague’s in New Orleans is offering a New Year’s Eve four-course prix-fixe dinner priced at $98 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Dinner service runs from 5 PM to 9 PM, with 9 PM seatings invited to remain for fireworks viewing from the balcony. Menu highlights include escargots or Frenched oysters, roasted wild mushroom salad, entrées such as shellfish bourride or smoked ribeye, and desserts including crème brûlée.

Charmant in New Orleans is offering a New Year’s Day brunch on Thursday, January 1. The à la carte menu features items such as fried Brussels sprouts salad, croque madame with truffle salami, yeasted Belgian waffles with lemon-ginger caramel, and a Wagyu burger on brioche.

Commons Club at Virgin Hotels New Orleans in New Orleans is offering a New Year’s Eve four-course dinner from 5 PM to 10 PM, priced at $98 per person, with an optional $40 wine pairing. Later in the evening, Virgin Hotels hosts The Last Illusion New Year’s Eve party from 8 PM to 1 AM with live music and DJs, ticketed separately. On New Year’s Day, Commons Club is offering a Bounce Back Brunch from 9 AM to 2 PM.
