Memorial Day Weekend in Miami: Where to Eat and Drink

Memorial Day weekend signals the unofficial start of summer, and in Miami, it’s marked by warm weather, long nights, and a wide range of food and drink events. Whether you’re looking for rooftop cocktails, casual gatherings, or music-filled nights, several local spots are offering extended hours, happy hour specials, and unique menus from May 23 to 26.

Rosa Sky Rooftop is located on the 22nd floor of the AC & Element Hotel in Brickell and will open exclusively on Monday, May 26 from 4:30 PM to 2 AM. Guests can enjoy $10 cocktails during happy hour from 4:30 PM to 7 PM, including the signature Rosa Sky with Grey Goose Strawberry & Lemongrass Vodka and the Mexican Kiss with Patrón Reposado and passion fruit. Wines and sparkling selections are available for $9. Food includes Buffalo Chicken Empanadas, Spice-Rubbed Tuna Poke, and Cuban “Cigars” filled with jamón and lechón. With skyline views and curated music, the setting works well for a no-drive staycation.

The Dead Flamingo at Casa Tiki in Little Havana is hosting free-entry DJ parties from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25. Doors open until late each night, with drink and bottle specials, a free pool table, and surprise entertainment. The music spans decades, with throwbacks and current tracks played across neon-lit rooms. The atmosphere is casual and unfiltered.

Biscayne Bay Brewing will remain closed on Memorial Day Monday, but from Friday through Sunday, the downtown taproom will serve discounted drinks and food. On Friday, the First Beer Beer Friday promotion offers $2 for a first core beer. Weekend happy hour from 12 PM to 6 PM includes $4 craft beers, $8 wines, $10 cocktails, and deals on snacks. Flat-screen TVs, foosball, and a relaxed environment make it suitable for casual gatherings.

Magie Wine Bar will run its Summer Power Hour all weekend at both its Little River and Coconut Grove locations, offering $35 bottomless wine from 6 PM to 7 PM. On Sundays, guests can order from the Magie Sundaes menu with $10 throwback-inspired ice cream creations from 6 PM to close. The bar features a curated wine list focused on Spain and Portugal, paired with plates like crispy chicken dino nuggets with caviar, and other seasonal small plates.
