Disclaimer: I was given complimentary vouchers to Megabite Pizza from a media event. All opinion are my own.
A few months ago, I attended the grand opening of Pizza Garden’s newest location on Main Street. It was then that I learned that Megabite Pizza is the sister restaurant of Pizza Garden. At the same time, I was given vouchers to Megabite Pizza in my swag bag. Megabite Pizza seems to be the budget-friendlier version of Pizza Garden. Recently, I redeemed the vouchers at the Davie Street location. I had not been to one in years so it was interesting to revisit.
What I Tried
I had a medium classic meatballs pizza ($17) as well as four individual slices ($2.50) from their warmer (Hawaiian, Pepperoni, Cheese & Garlic, and Artichoke). Overall, the pizza crusts were on the thicker and chewier side but enjoyable. The ratio of topping to the base seemed reasonable with a good balance of flavours. For the meatball pizza, the meatballs didn’t quite hold together as a ball so the overall texture was a bit off.
Overall Impression of Megabite Pizza
I think that Megabite Pizza has cheap and cheerful pizza. The Davie location opens late till 1 am on most days and is a good place for late night revelers to go for food. Rating: 3.5/5
