McDonald’s Canada has introduced a new NHL Star Sticks Meal, bringing hockey themed collectibles to restaurants across the country for a limited time.
The promotion is part of a partnership with the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association. The meal includes a collectible mini hockey stick featuring one of seven NHL players along with a choice of entrée, fries, and a drink.
The NHL Star Sticks Meal offers several entrée options including Hockey Hero Burger, 10 Piece Chicken McNuggets, Big Mac, McVeggie, or Spicy McVeggie. Each meal also includes medium World Famous Fries made from Canadian potatoes and a medium fountain beverage.
The returning Hockey Hero Burger features three Canadian beef patties topped with shredded lettuce, bacon, processed cheese, and mayo style sauce on a toasted homestyle bun. The burger was previously introduced as part of earlier hockey themed promotions and returns as the featured item in this campaign.
Each NHL Star Sticks Meal includes one mini stick collectible representing one of the following players: Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Macklin Celebrini, Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar, Samuel Montembeault, or Sam Reinhart.
Mini hockey stick giveaways have been part of past McDonald’s promotions in Canada, and the current release brings the concept back with updated player themed collectibles tied to the current NHL lineup.
The NHL Star Sticks Meal is available at participating McDonald’s restaurants across Canada while supplies last. Customers can order in store, through the McDonald’s app, or using McDelivery.
