One of the highlights of my summer was meeting the one-and-only celebrity chef, Chopped Canada judge and restaurateur Mark McEwan. Most recently, Chef McEwan has taken on a new venture with Johnsonville Sausage as their celebrity pitchman. I attended a exclusive media event where I had the pleasure of meeting Chef McEwan at his friend Chef David Hawksworth’s new restaurant, Nightingale. The culinary team at Nightingale prepared some delicious dishes with cameos by Johnsonville Sausage.
Baked sweet potato with Johnsonville Mild Italian Sausage, jalapeno, and scallion were delicious bites presented on forks.
The Johnsonville Sweet Basil Italian Sausage meatballs with parmesan and san marzano were moist, tender and scrumptious!
I very much enjoyed the crispy Johnsonville Honey Garlic Bratwurst pizza with mustard greens, fior di latte, and pistachio salsa verde.
Grilled Johnsonville Country Garlic Sausage skewered with charred heirloom tomato, castelvetrano olive and arugula.
Braised tripe with san marzano, Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage with grilled bread and kale pistou.
By the way, Chef McEwan is very friendly in person. Of course, we needed a fangirl moment where we got together for a Ellen-style group selfie.
