Hello Nori opened up a new location at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby.
They are a hand roll bar offering hand rolls with crisp nori; warm rice; as well as fresh and sustainable ingredients.
We visited them for lunch and here is what we tried.
Hello Nori at the Amazing Brentwood is currently participating in Bite of Burnaby and are offering a $35 per person menu.
We started off with some Miso Soup (with Tofu, Enoki Mushroom, Wakame) and then a 3 piece Aburi Salmon Oshi (with Emperor Sockeye salmon, house made aioli, serrano pepper).
Next we had 4 Hand Rolls including:
- Tamago Hand Roll
- Toro Hand Roll
- Snow Crab Hand roll
- Truffle Lobster Hand Roll
We also tried a few daily Hand Special Rolls. The first was an A5 Mizayaki Wagyu hand roll which was torched and had a delicious rich, buttery texture.
Next was a Salmon Ikura roll with a salty, slightly taste and subtle, sweet flavour.
For drinks, we tried a very smooth Nitro Cold Brew Matcha.
We finished off with Vanilla and Chocolate Mochi Ice Creams.
The entire experience at Hello Nori was delicious, fun and relaxing. The sushi chefs were friendly and engaging.
The minimalist space was comfortable and inviting.
