Grizzli Winery is a family-owned and operated winery in West Kelowna that produces a world-class range of wines and winery-hosted events for distinctly Okanagan experience.
Grizzli Winery’s Okanagan grown wines are made from hand-harvested grapes and showcases the unique characteristics of British Columbia’s premier wine country.
The property’s community-inspired, architecturally award-winning building is a cultural hub for year-round events and home to an Art Gallery featuring Canadian artists. You’ll find a variety of events from Happy Hour with live music; yoga session with wine; Sunday Funday Family experiences and more.
We enjoyed a tour of Grizzli Winery where we gained insight into winemaking in the Okanagan Valley; grape growing process and the intricacies of vinification techniques for the regular harvest and Icewine harvest.
At the end, we had a wine tasting in the wine bar/art gallery and tried the following Grizzli Winery wines:
- 2018 Muscat – crisp grapefruit and pear flavours, and a touch of sweetness
- 2021 Rose – delicate notes of red berries, rhubarb and fresh rose petals
- *Award Winning* 2021 Cabernet Franc Reserve – velvety on the palate with aromas of coca, plum and blackberry
- 2021 Raspberry Fruit Wine – intense aroma of fresh raspberries, finished with a lingering tartness
- *Award Winning * 2013 Merlot Ice Wine – harvested at -14 celsius, reminscent of blackberry jam and dates
