Foxtrot, the brand redefining the modern-day convenience store and café by marrying the best of neighborhood retail and e-commerce technology, announced that its largest location nationwide and flagship store in Austin is now open at South 1st and Annie.
The brand’s co-founders, Mike LaVitola and Taylor Bloom, conceived the idea for Foxtrot while living in Austin and are thrilled to be expanding the brand in the place that started it all.
Foxtrot offers its signature all-day café experience, complete with thoughtfully sourced coffee, seasonal café drinks, fresh smoothies, breakfast tacos, chef-prepared salads and bowls, and delicious grab-and-go meals for lunch and dinner.
The store also contains everything from local craft beers and fine wines hand-selected by an in-house sommelier to everyday essentials.
All of its offerings are available to enjoy in-store, for pickup and with on-demand delivery through the brand’s proprietary app.
Foxtrot’s South 1st & Annie location will be the brand’s largest store, with a 6,000-square-foot space including a spacious indoor-outdoor covered patio.
The store was once two buildings, one being an auto repair shop and the other a grocer.
Both are now bridged together, pulling in different elements of each to bring an all-day cafe, market and a beautiful courtyard patio to the Bouldin Creek neighborhood.
The space was designed by Foxtrot’s in-house design team in partnership with Scott Magic, of Magic Architecture. Neon Jungle’s Evan Voyles also created a custom neon marquee sign for the store that will debut at the opening, bringing the space full circle as the creator once had a studio in the space.
In celebration of the opening, Foxtrot will host an opening celebration on June 6th with giveaways, live music, light bites, and $5 pours of wine.
In the upcoming weeks, Foxtrot plans to open their third Austin location at the base of Austin City Hall which boasts a large covered patio, perfect to escape the summer sun and enjoy a beverage. The opening date will be announced at a later date.
Since opening its doors in Austin in 2023, Foxtrot has served as a fun neighborhood destination, where locals and visitors can gather and celebrate local makers.
Foxtrot currently features a variety of local brands, including Bola Pizza, Lick Honest Ice Creams, Teddy V Patisserie, Toasty plant-based dips, Bottle Rocket hot sauce and Chop Chop Ramen.
Foxtrot currently carries more than 150 local products from over 50 local makers and will continue to add new brands to its shelves.
The new Austin location joins the brand’s recently opened Burnet location (4818 Burnet Rd Austin, TX 78756).
The brand currently has 27 locations across Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas and Austin, TX, with plans to continue expansion in existing markets this year.
