Canadian Birkie
The Canadian Birkebeiner cross-country ski festival celebrates its 40th year from February 7–9. Skiers of all levels can participate in six different events, gliding through scenic snow-covered trails.
Silver Skate Festival and International Festival of Winter Cinema
Edmonton’s longest-running winter festival returns from February 7–17 for its 35th year. Snow sculptures, fire sculpture burns, and the Heritage Village will bring winter traditions to life. During this time, the International Festival of Winter Cinema will screen films on a giant snow screen, offering a one-of-a-kind outdoor movie experience.
UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup and YEG Ice Fest
From February 27 to March 2, Louise McKinney Park will host this major ice climbing competition. Spectators can watch top athletes compete while enjoying a winter market, family-friendly activities, and entertainment.
