Here’s an exclusive behind the scenes look at the Honda Celebration of Light fireworks barge in Vancouver.
We were part of a media group that was given a tour of the barge by Kelly Guille, owner of Archangel Fireworks which manages the barge operations.
The firework components are loaded into “guns” which are connected to a computer that is responsible for firing control. The firing sequence is preprogrammed by the competing country.
Guille and this team stay in the “bomb shelter” during the show to oversee the execution and respond to emergencies, as needed.
