Coffee lovers rejoice! After a three-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Beanstock Coffee Festival 2022, Canada’s leading independent festival of third-wave coffee, makes its long-awaited return to Vancouver on August 20-21.
Presented by Breville Canada, and in partnership with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and Danone’s Silk plant-based products, the festival invites coffee enthusiasts from Vancouver and beyond to convene at Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown for the opportunity to connect with local specialty coffee roasters, sample some of the best specialty coffee in Western Canada, and learn about the importance of socially responsible brews.
Following sold-out events in 2017, 2018 and 2019 in Toronto and Vancouver, this year’s festival will feature specialty coffee roasters like Vancouver’s Pallet Coffee Roasters, House of Funk, and Nemesis Coffee, among others.
For all festival-goers interested in learning more about the best way to brew exceptional coffee at home, Beanstock’s Home Brewing Demo, presented by Breville Canada, offers hands-on learning from pro baristas and an up-close look at the latest in home brewing equipment.
At the Greenhouse Stage sponsored by Danone’s Silk plant-based products, guests can also expect in-depth conversations in coffee exploring coffee producers, origins and sustainability, as well as a vibrant marketplace, an outdoor lounge, food trucks and a Cold Brewery sampling station.
The weekend also marks SCA’s Canadian National Barista Championship Finals where Canada’s representative for the World Barista Championship will be chosen.
Early bird tickets are now available starting at $30 for each day, or $50 for a weekend pass with unlimited access both days of the festival.
All tickets include unlimited samples of handmade specialty coffees served by Beanstock roasters, a reusable ceramic Beanstock cup, and 2 x 100g sample bags of roasted coffee from the roaster of your choice.
The event is open on August 20 and 21, with a morning and afternoon session daily from 8am-noon and 1-5pm.
In addition to daytime festivities, Beanstock, Absolut and Kahlua are thrilled to continue the good times with an inaugural Happy Hour, complete with cold brew coffee-infused cocktails and music.
Happy Hour runs at Beanstock Coffee Festival 2022 runs daily from 5-7pm and is included in ticket costs.
