Day 1
Check in at Mount Royal Hotel
Located in the heart of Banff, the Mount Royal Hotel is one of the most historic accommodations in town and offers some of Banff’s most iconic views right from the your room.
The hotel’s history goes back 109 years when it was originally called the Banff Hotel.
The Mount Royal Hotel is located on Banff Avenue which is near top restaurants, shops and nightlife as well as easy to Banff’s top attractions.
Their modern rooms pay homage to Canadian heritage along with some signature plush beds and can offer unobstructed views of Banff Avenue or Tunnel Mountain (depending on the configuration).
The hotel’s famous outdoor rooptop hot tubs are the perfect place to soak and relax while enjoying the stunning mountain scenery.
Dinner at Farm & Fire
Head over for dinner at Farm & Fire Banff – one of Banff’s newest restaurants.
The menu at Farm & Fire pays homage to wood-fired and slow-roasted staples.
Their menu changes based on seasonality, but some items to try include Full Rotisserie Chicken; Thousand Layer Duck Fat Potato; Fungi Pizza and more.
Day 2

Kickstart your morning at Evelyn’s Coffee Bar – a great coffee spot with home-style food made from scratch.
Ride the Banff Gondola
The Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain is not to be missed.
The experience features a 8-minute ride to the top of the mountain onboard a modern, fully enclosed four-passenger gondola cabin. Relax, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views as you move past the treetops to an elevation of 7,500 ft at the summit.
Explore Sulphur Mountain
Once you’re at the top, begin your adventure by strolling the boardwalk to the Cosmic Ray Station and Sanson’s Peak and learn about Canada’s first national park.
Take in the jaw-dropping vistas and work up an appetite!
Lunch at Sky Bistro
For the ultimate mountain top dining experience 2,900 ft above Banff, there is Sky Bistro offering unique flavours of Canada with regionally-sourced local meats, produce and ingredients.
The interior of Sky Bistro features a warm, cozy atmosphere from the rustic design (think vintage antler chandeliers). The majestic floor-to-ceiling windows offer majestic mountain views of Bow Valley.
The menu at Sky Bistro changes seasonally but some delicious items we tried include the Arctic Char; Beef Brisket Burger; Pulled Bison Burger; and Smores Brownie.
