A&W Canada has launched its highly anticipated Masala Veggie Burger across the country, following an enthusiastic response to the limited Ontario release. The burger was initially a promotional item, but its rapid sellout and customer demand made a nationwide rollout inevitable. For a limited time, Canadians can now enjoy this unique, flavour-packed vegetarian option.
The Masala Veggie Burger is designed with South Asian vegetarians in mind. It features a crispy patty made from real vegetables, Nanak paneer, and a blend of spices, delivering an authentic South Asian-inspired taste. The patty is complemented by spicy piri-piri sauce, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions, creating a bold and layered flavour profile.
Karan Suri, Director of Menu Development at A&W Canada, highlights the innovation behind this creation, emphasizing the effort to surpass expectations with a flavourful yet accessible burger. This new item not only appeals to vegetarians but also to anyone looking for a taste experience that pushes beyond the typical quick-service restaurant offering.
A&W partnered with Nanak Foods, Canada’s largest producer of traditional South Asian dairy products, to create the Masala Veggie patty. Gurpreet Arneja, President of Nanak Foods, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing how this partnership introduces authentic South Asian flavours to a wider Canadian audience.
The Masala Veggie Burger is available at A&W locations across Canada for a limited time at $6. Don’t miss the chance to savour this veggie-friendly option infused with bold South Asian spices.
