Aeromexico Marks 15 Years of Flights Between Canada and Mexico

Aeromexico is marking key milestones in their Canada operations, celebrating 15 years of service to Montréal and 10 years of direct flights to both Toronto and Vancouver. These routes continue to play an ongoing role in air connectivity between Canada and Mexico, supporting travel, tourism, and business ties between the two countries.

Over the past 15 years, Aeromexico has operated more than 30,000 flights linking Canadian cities with Mexico. Passenger demand has remained strong, with more than 325,000 travellers carried so far in 2025. Between December and March, the airline is scheduled to operate more than 110 monthly flights between the two countries, using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Canada remains a key market within Aeromexico’s international network. The airline’s service connects Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver directly with Mexico City, offering onward access across Mexico and Latin America. Fleet deployment on these routes focuses on fuel efficiency and passenger comfort, with the 737 MAX forming the backbone of current operations.

At Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, long-term collaboration between the airport authority and the airline continues to support international travel growth. Representatives from ADM Aéroports de Montréal note that Aeromexico’s presence at YUL has contributed to expanded tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange between Canada and Mexico over the past decade and a half.

In Vancouver, Aeromexico’s service at Vancouver International Airport has connected Western Canada with Mexico City since 2015. Airport leadership has identified the route as an important link for both leisure and commercial travel, strengthening ties not only with Mexico but with destinations across Latin America.

Toronto Pearson International Airport has also seen continued activity from the airline over the past 10 years. Daily round-trip service between Toronto and Mexico City supports travel between two major economic centres, reinforcing the relationship between Canada and Mexico. Toronto Pearson leadership has acknowledged the airline’s long-standing presence as a contributor to international connectivity.

Aeromexico’s broader network includes 74 international routes and 55 domestic routes within Mexico. Onboard offerings across their fleet include a Premier Cabin with hot meals, seatback entertainment screens, free in-flight messaging, and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones. These features reflect the airline’s ongoing focus on passenger experience across short- and long-haul flights.

As Aeromexico continues to operate between Canada and Mexico, these milestones reflect a sustained commitment to maintaining and growing air service between the two countries through consistent schedules, modern aircraft, and an expanding international network.
