The Sandbar

Glowbal Restaurant
From 5 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, Glowbal’s flagship restaurant is offering a three-course menu featuring a choice of Starter (Jumbo Prawn Cocktail, Foie Gras Pâté or Butternut Squash Soup), Entrée (Sea Bass, Grilled Spiced Ribeye or Roasted Mushroom Ravioli) and Dessert (Valentine’s Chocolate Tasting or Valentine’s Crêpe Cake) for $95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Guests can also enhance their Valentine’s Day dining experience by adding a Surf & Turf Platter for Two comprising a Tomahawk Steak and Butter-Poached Jumbo Prawns for an additional $30.
Glowbal will also feature a one-night-only à-la-carte menu showcasing appetizers like Fried Humboldt Calamari, SRF Wagyu Steak Tartare, Fresh Burrata Cheese; Entrées including Haida Gwaii Sablefish, Lobster Tagliatelle, and Chickpea Panisse; and gourmet add-ons such as Seared Foie Gras, Freshly Shaved Black Truffle, Herb-Garlic Sautéed Prawns and Hokkaido Scallops.
Black + Blue/The Roof
The Valentine’s Day offerings at Black+Blue and The Roof include an exclusive Valentine’s Dinner for Twofor $250 plus tax and gratuity that includes a glass of Champagne and a single rose in addition to a sumptuous three-course feast featuring a Tableside Caesar Salad (crisp romaine, Parmiggiano-Reggiano, lemon & anchovy dressing, brioche croutons), Beef Wellington (mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, truffle jus)and Paris-Brest (pâte à choux, vanilla-rose whipped ganache, raspberry coulis) for dessert.
Beyond the Valentine’s Day set menu, the restaurant will also tempt the desires of guests and set the mood for romance with menu highlights such as a Chilled Seafood Platter (King Crab, Fresh Oysters, Prawn Cocktail, Atlantic Lobster, Dungeness Crab, Marinated Mussels & Clams, Lemon Cocktail Sauce, Marie Rose, Mignonette and Horseradish) for $250 plus tax as well as Raw Oysters on the half shell for $24 (½ dozen) or $46 (dozen), a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail for $31 and an array of gourmet starters, classic sides and choice Canadian Prime and Japanese cuts of beef that include New York Striploins, Tenderloins, Ribeyes and Cowboy Ribeyes.
The Flying Pig (Yaletown and Olympic Village)
Feel the love in the air with The Flying Pig’s special Valentine’s Day Lover’s Platter – $100 available on Feb 14th. The Lover’s Platter includes: two classes of Fiol Prosecco, AAA Alberta Stripling with brandy peppercorn sauce, Jumbo Tiger Prawns with sauce provençale, Atlantic Lobster Risotto with charred broccolini, baby heirloom tomato and arugula salad and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.

Five Sails
From February 9th through 14th, Five Sails will showcase a five-course feast for $160 per person plus tax and gratuity that features an amuse-bouche (warm savoury custard with salmon roe & chive) followed by Yellowfin Tuna ‘Rose’ (pickled winter radish, citrus-Champagne vinaigrette), Lobster Bisque (seared Pacific scallop, egg yolk gel), Truffle Ravioli (Comté cheese, winter truffle, caramelized shallot), Fraser Valley Duck Breast(caramelized endive tarte tatin, fig marmalade, Lillooet honey-pickled mustard seeds, jus) and a sweet finishing note of Red Velvet (buttermilk whipped ganache, sponge cake, kirsch & cream cheese Chantilly).
Ophelia and Monarca
On Wednesday February 14th, Chef Francisco has put together a special three-course menu for Ophelia and Monarca, the menu is $85 per person. Reservations for both locations are highly recommended.
Fable Kitchen

B House (Richmond and Commercial Drive locations)
Chef/Owner Hung Nguyen has created a special menu for two ($55 per person) that’s available on Wednesday, February 14th. Start with Yellow Fin Tuna Tartar with citrus soy marinated tuna, green onion, sesame seeds, avocado, tobiko and taro chips; Surf and Turf Platter for two with AAA Top Sirloin, Blacken Steelhead Trout, Butter Roasted Lobster Tail and rosemary roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, red wine peppercorn sauce and cucumber feshca; Dessert, the Sweet Duo with homemade Molten Brownie, Mascarpone Raisin Bread Pudding. Forage Restaurant
Join them on February 14th for a special Valentine’s Day menu from Chef Craig Sung. Indulge in a four-course meal with bubbles on arrival and cocktails to set the mood. Reservations are available now.

Extend your Valentine’s Day celebrations, Chef Behshad Zolnasr has created two Valentine’s Day Menus (a la carte and a set menu for two) that are available from February 14th until February 17th.
Coast
Coast will mark the occasion and cater to surf and turf aficionados by showcasing a Valentine’s Day Sharing Menu Wednesday, February 14 from 3 to 10:30 p.m. for $100 per person plus tax (with optional wine pairings also available for $40 per person plus tax).
Italian Kitchen
It’s all amore at Italian Kitchen Wednesday, February 14 as the cozy downtown hotspot offers timeless à-la-carte classic dishes as well as a Valentine’s Feature Menu for $114 per person plus tax and gratuity.
Riley’s Fish & Steak
The culinary team at Riley’s conjures up the Valentine’s Magic on Wednesday, February 14 from X to X p.m. with à la carte offerings showcasing the best of land and sea as well as a four-course set menu for $125 per person plus tax and gratuity.
The set menu showcases an appetizer of Butternut Squash Soup (brown butter, black truffle, crème fraîche, sage); second course choice of Wagyu Beef Tartare (caviar, horseradish aioli, rösti, crispy caper), Salmon Gravlax (dill mustard, orange, heirloom tomato, farmer greens) or Burrata & Prosciutto (honey grilled pears, basil, arugula, almond, crostini); entrée choice of: Australian Wagyu Striploin (black truffle mashed potato, brandy mushroom sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts) or Butter-Poached Atlantic Lobster (potato gnocchi, roasted parsnip cherry tomato confit, lobster cream) and Pavlova (lime crème fraîche, French meringue, mint, fresh berry compote).

Share a toast to everlasting love at the opulent Mott 32, where its red leather interior sets the scene for a romantic evening. Jungle Room
Jungle Room is offering Valentine’s Day features and cocktails from February 12 – February 18. Love is in the air at Water St Cafe, celebrate in their romantic dining room for a special Valentine’s Day feast. Choose between a 4-course dinner for $79 or a 7-course menu for $149, featuring decadent menu options including Lobster Bisque or a hardy Surf & Turf.

Angus T
For something small and sweet, Angus T will offer a special Valentine’s Day croissant with the flavours of dark chocolate and raspberry, adorned with a pink heart for that special someone.
Ancora Falsecreek
Executive Chef Sebastian Delgado has prepared an extravagant five-course menu “A Nikkei Valentine’s” ($175 per person) for Valentine’s Day at Ancora Falsecreek, featuring the restaurant’s signature Nikkei flavours. Guests will be delighted by beautiful dishes such as Duo Nikkei Nigiri to start, Tiradito or Carpaccio, Tortelloni, and Ajo Blanco or Pepian. The sweet finish is a Yuzu-Strawberry dessert with yuzu curd, merengue and strawberry sorbet.

The Farmhouse
Enjoy the cozy and welcoming dining room and a delicious four-course tasting menu “San Valentino: A Rustic Valentine’s Dinner” ($98 per person) for the perfect Valentine’s dinner date at The Farmhouse. For an additional cost ($77 per person), patrons can also enjoy wine pairings and a glass of champagne. Start off with a Andreas Bartel champagne and appetizer: Chilled Lobster Salad. The team at Cibo are ensuring that love will be celebrated with romantic Valentine’s Day menu “Amore Dinner”. H Tasting Lounge at The Westin Bayshore
H Tasting Lounge at The Westin Bayshore is offering a winter patio experience featuring translucent domes adorned in Alpine and celestial-inspired embellishments. Each dome boasts panoramic glass paneling, sliding glass doors and a crescent-shaped sitting area for up to 6 guests. A minimum $200 spending is required per dome for Valentine’s Day lunch. Fanny Bay Oyster Bar & Shellfish Market
Fanny Bay Oyster Bar & Shellfish Market is setting the mood for romance with Valentine’s Day food and drink features available at the Michelin-recommended dining destination as well as a net full of fresh-daily catches for at-home chefs to prepare from its retail market (762 Cambie Street).
From February 14 to 18, Head Chef Tommy Shorthouse will treat Valentine’s Day diners to a romantic repast via à-la-carte creations that include an appetizer of Beet-Cured Salmon Carpaccio (pickled shallots, capers, lemon crème fraîche, dill, trout roe, toasted brioche), entrée of Shrimp and Scallop Ricotta Gnocchi (asparagus, confit tomato, vin blanc, herbs) and dessert course of Layered Pavlova with raspberries, strawberries, rose syrup and mint.
The expert shucking team at the downtown dining destination will also delight and intrigue guests with one of the city’s best selections of West and East Coast oysters on the half shell ($3.50 ea. or a Shucker’s Dozen selection for $40) and raw bar specialties including caviar with house accompaniments, geoduck sashimi and seasonal uni, cold cracked Dungeness crab and signature ‘Seacuterie Boards’ to share comprising a choice of five-piece Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Smoked Scallops, Smoked Albacore Tuna Crudo, Smoked Ekone Mussels or Sliced Smoked Steelhead Trout with accoutrements.

The cupids at Temper Chocolate & Pastry (West Vancouver) are drawing back their bowstrings and helping people hit their targets this February via a new collection of Valentine’s-themed creations now available at the beloved West Vancouver café, bakery and chocolatier.
The full lineup of delectably decadent Valentine’s Day offerings from Temper comprises:
- Edible Heart Showpieces, filled with an assortment of chocolates in small ($25) or large ($35) sizes;
- Individual Chocolates in colourful strawberry & crème, Cinnamon, Dulcey and 70% dark chocolate selections ($2.25 ea.);
- Signature Temper Chocolate Boxes, featuring assortments of individual chocolates and specialty heart chocolates available in 4-piece ($12), 6-piece ($18), 9-piece ($26), 16-piece ($38) and 28-piece ($62) sizes;
- Strawberry Cremeux Tarts with vanilla mascarpone mousse ($9 ea.);
- Heart-Shaped Chocolate Frictures in dark-chocolate lips & milk-chocolate heart shapes ($5 ea.);

Botanist
Botanist is serving a 6-course tasting menu for $178. Optional premium wine pairing are available for $220 per person. Savour dishes such as the Cheese Fondue, Uni Risotto, and Beef Tenderloin, while ending the evening on a sweet note with the Dark Chocolate Marquise.
Kissa Tanto
Kissa Tanto is serving a set menu priced at $200 per person.
Provence Marinaside
Provence Marinaside is offering a 6-course prix-fixe menu priced at $135 per person, optional wine pairing for $65 per person.
Mèreon
New Ambleside brunch hotspot Mèreon is turning the lights down low and setting the mood for romance by hosting an exclusive pop-up prix-fixe Valentine’s Day dinner menu at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14 at 1479 Clyde Avenue.
Available by reservation only, Mèreon’s Valentine’s Day pop-up dinner allows guests to sample the intimate ambiance and signature sense of hospitality at the newly opened French-inspired bistro and enjoy a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert for $65 per person plus tax and gratuity with optional beverage pairings and à-la-carte wine, Champagne and cocktails also offered.

Parq Vancouver is turning the lights down low and setting the mood for romance with an array of special features to celebrate Valentine’s Day throughout the downtown Vancouver stay-and-play destination (39 Smithe Street) this February that include:
From Friday, Feb. 2 until Sunday, Feb. 18, Parq Casino gets into the romantic spirits and stirs the senses by shaking up the Pink Lady cocktail (London Dry gin, fresh lemon juice, grenadine, simple syrup, egg white) for $16 at the Centre Bar and Lotus Lounge.
Guests looking to pair their play with a little stay can also take advantage of a special package that ups the ante for overnights at The DOUGLAS Autograph Collection or JW Marriott by adding complimentary daily parking and $50 in free play vouchers for no additional charge. D/6 Bar and Lounge
D/6 Bar and Lounge will aim to set hearts ablaze and help guests get wrapped up in new romantic entanglements with a ‘Single or Mingle’ event that allows guests to choose from three colour-coded wristbands — red (taken), yellow (cautiously optimistic) or green (single and ready to mingle) — before partaking in a fun and flirty game of Twister.
Guests not into being tied down or tangled up can partake in table and giant board games and retro video games as well as free ‘Drinking & Drawing’ sessions with an onsite caricature artist while enjoying a list of feature cocktails that include ‘The Victoria’s Secret Made for Two’ (Grey Goose pear, Empress 1908, pomegranate, Mionetto Piccolo) for $38.
BC Kitchen
25Dates Vancouver will turn up the heat in the BC Kitchen by hosting a ‘Love on the Fast Track’ speed dating session from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Night that will put participants through the paces on a dozen five-minute dates to try and meet their perfect match.
Guests will be split into two groups — a ‘New Beginnings’ group for men and women aged 28 to 43 and a ‘Forever & Ever’ group for men aged 40-55 and women aged 39-49 — with all participants receiving a voucher for a welcome drink later that night at D/6 Bar & Lounge.
Honey Salt
Honey Salt will write a recipe for romance on Weds., February 14 with a special Set Menu that offers lovers a four-course feast for the senses for $88 per person plus tax and gratuity with optional wine pairings available.

Guests can also add a ‘Big Hugs’ package containing one half-dozen red roses and a five-piece box of Honey Salt chocolate truffles for $60 or the ‘Romance Package’ that includes a bottle of Mionetto Orange Label Prosecco along with the roses and truffles for $125. As a bonus, the Valentine’s Dinner Set Menu is offered for just $75 per person plus tax and gratuity when guests also order the Romance Package.
The Victor
The Victor will let love reign on Tues, February 13 and Weds., February 14 when it features a four-course, prix-fixe menu for $145 per person plus tax and gratuity with optional wine pairings in addition to its full dinner and sushi menus.
Romance will be in the air during the Valentine’s Night Service when local vocal group The Agency Singers take centre stage at the steakhouse and seafood hotspot to perform timeless classics and new standards from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Feature cocktails concocted for the special occasion on offer both nights include ‘Love From The First Scoop’ (Ketel One grapefruit and rosé, select aperitivo, red vermouth, bubbles, sorbet), $21 and the ‘Lucky Luciano’ (St. Remy signature, Cloud House cold brew rum, amaro, coffee bitters), $23.
Guests can further sweeten their Valentine’s Day experience by opting to have a ‘Romance Package’ containing a half-dozen chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of bubbly (Mionetto Prosecco $89, Mionetto ‘Prestige’ $90, Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin Champagne $199 or Veuve Cliquot Rosé Champagne $259) waiting at their table upon arrival, or chocolate strawberries on their own for $32.

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is offering a Valentine Chocolate Making Workshop on Saturday, February 10th, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Led by the renowned master chocolatier, Chef Patrice, this hands-on class promises an unforgettable experience for chocolate enthusiasts. Participants will delve into the world of chocolate craftsmanship, learning how to create a heart-shaped chocolate box filled with exquisite handmade chocolate truffle bonbons. Chef Patrice will also share the secrets behind crafting delightful chocolate paste roses, because, as he says, “You can’t eat flowers!”
