Seattle-based mama group has opened up, street eats – a new Middle Eastern Fast casual restaurant at 2040 6th Avenue in South Lake Union.

Based on a quick-service restaurant model, street eats build off the popularity of nearby sister restaurant mamnoon street and aims to broaden the experience of traditional and modern Levantine flavors.

Offering curated classic Middle Eastern dishes such as fatteh and mujadara, mamnoon street’s unique shawarminis, and “build-your-own-bowl” options featuring a wide variety of proteins, vegetables and mamnoon street’s famously flavorful sauces, these customizable items will be tailored for speedy and efficiently serving high volumes of guests.

street eats will also serve as the catering arm of mamnoon street, offering convenient online ordering with both approachable and adventurous options for events of all sizes.

Additionally, the space will house a mini manna market, featuring a retail wall of mamnoon fine foods pantry items and an array of grab-and-go refrigerated items.

We tried a few delicious dishes from street eats including the following:

Mujadara – brown rice, French lentils, caramelized onions, pickled Fresno peppers, pickled red cabbage, garlic yogurt

BYOB bowl – ½ greens & herbs, ½ brown rice, lamb awarma, roasted garlic tahini sauce, diced tomatoes, pickled red cabbage, pickled turnips, romaine lettuce

Chocolate Tahini Cookie
