Sumac Ridge Gewurztraminer Wine Poached Apples

October 6, 2018 by foodgressing Leave a Comment

A great way to enjoy wine is over dessert but what about incorporating wine into your dessert creation?  My friend and fellow blogger Leslie from A Life Well Consumed collaborated with Sumac Ridge on a very delicious, easy dessert: Gewurztraminer Wine Poached Apples.  It’s a recipe that you can use for entertaining or just keep in your fridge as a comforting treat and serve up warm.

Sumac Ridge Gewürztraminer pairs well with apples because it has grapefruit and lychee notes and hints of spice.  Ice cream is recommended so I topped the Gewurztraminer poached apples with Western Family Espresso Almond Fudge ice cream.  Check out the full recipe here.

Disclosure:  I received a media kit.
