Fall Flavors Take Center Stage at Time Out Market Montréal

Located in the heart of downtown Montréal (Centre Eaton de Montréal, 705 Saint-Catherine St. West), Time Out Market Montréal is proud to be an exciting must-visit destination for adults, kids and families alike.

The 40,000 square feet Market is home to 15 eateries, as well as a pop-up kitchen, five bars and a cooking academy.

As the centrepiece of Centre Eaton de Montréal—a major downtown destination owned and managed by global real estate leader Ivanhoé Cambridge—Time Out Market offers guests the very best of the city all in one place, creating a dynamic destination that embodies the vibrancy of Montréal.

Featuring local cultural entertainment and a lineup of star-studded Montréal chefs and much-loved restaurateurs, the Market will continue to add additional concepts regularly to ensure the curated mix is always a reflection of the city.

Time Out Market Montréal’s culinary curation includes:

Ibéricos: From Caracas to San Sebastien to Montreal, the iconic Spanish tapas tavern brings a taste of Spain to the Market. Led by Chef Haissam Souki Tamayo who has worked in Michelin-star restaurants and alongside legendary chefs to hone his authentic mix of Spanish tradition and local Quebec produce. The menu features delectable Valencian-style paellas bursting with flavour, a calamari sandwich that satisfies even the most devoted seafood lover, crispy cod fritters coated in maple syrup, and a Basque cheesecake with a caramelised top and luxuriously creamy interior that will leave you longing for more.

Bossa. Montrealers have been worshipping at the altar of this family-run sandwicheria since it opened in 2018. The lip-smacking magic happens when southern Italian recipes that hail back three generations meet Philly-style hoagies bursting with homemade ingredients—right down to the house burrata, hand-cut chips and fresh basil picked from the garden. Satisfy all sandwich cravings with a menu consisting of signature Bossa classics, as well as some tasty new creations, exclusive to Time Out Market Montréal.

Chanthy Yen. Helmed by the chef to the Prime Minister, Chanty Yen is a Pan-Canadian cuisine concept that represents the culinary essence of Canada. The menu spotlights Chef Chanthy’s passion for Canadian cuisine and weaves together multiple provinces and cultures, reflecting on his travels across Canada. Yen’s fortunate journey has allowed him to get a taste of the country from the perspective of the multiple cities, allowing him to conceptualise the term “Pan Canadian” cuisine. Chanthy Yen’s new concept will give guests an inside look on how the nation’s leader dines.

Mezzmiz. What started as a pandemic ghost kitchen project quickly became the name of every foodie’s lips. Mezzmiz incorporates Beirut-style Lebanese cuisine that features a mix-and-match culinary tapestry of a menu. From a Moroccan lemon confit chicken and fillet mignon shawarma to classic crispy falafels and muhammara rich with pomegranate molasses and Aleppo pepper, Mezzmiz masterfully unites traditional and cosmopolitan takes on culinary classics, delivered directly to the Market.

Americas BBQ. Fire up the grill! Chef Paul Toussaint brings his second concept, and this time, guests are invited on a journey through the barbecue techniques of North, Central and South America. The menu features spit-roasted méchoui, classic Montréal smoked meat, Mexican al pastor, Caribbean jerk, Argentinian asado, and Brazilian churrasco, to name but a few. Americas BBQ allows guests to trace a BBQ “food road map” on the menu, with a new food adventure waiting for them upon every visit.

Tunnel Espresso. Impeccably pulled shots and brilliant brews sourced directly from the Canadian Roasting Society, a central hub for Montréal’s indie coffee roasting scene. These beverages are served alongside gobsmackingly good doughnuts and their one-of-a-kind innovation, the “sconut”; a fried buttermilk biscuit that you won’t find anywhere else.

Le Blossom. A favourite from Montréal’s Village neighbourhood, Le Blossom has taken over the Market’s demonstration kitchen to offer a greatest-hits selection of Japanese plates from their menu. Dishes featured on their menu include; pressed and torched oshizushi, fresh sashimi and savoury maki, loaded-to-burst poke bowls and Japanese yatai-style street food.

Le Taj. One of the city’s premiere destinations for Indian fine dining, this institution has joined Time Out Market to serve dishes such as airy naan swiped with butter with irresistibly creamy butter chicken, a beloved tandoor-roasted kebab, and Delhi-style biryani. An essential restaurant for a local experience, each taste here, delivers mouthwatering diasporic takes on Northern Indian cuisine.

Campo. Since 2016, the Ferreira family’s Portuguese chicken joint, Campo, has been a Montréal favourite. A fine-tuned churrascaria consistently delivering quality time and time again, their local sourcing of grain-fed birds that are marinated for 24 hours in a piri-piri sauce firmly sets a bar for casual dining downtown – as well as one of the city’s best Portuguese chicken destinations.

Marusan. Chef Hideyuki Imaizumi is serving up non-stop umami with his bold takes on traditional Japanese cuisine, with recipes for savoury ramen and donburi unique to the city.

Le Red Tiger. Since opening in 2015, Le Red Tiger has been consistently surprising Montréalers with its traditional dishes, convivial atmosphere and simple yet flavourful menu inspired by the street cuisine of Southern Vietnam. Chef Phong Thach is bringing the fun, excitement and most importantly the richly aromatic flavours of Southeast Asia back to Time Out Market Montréal.

Paul Toussaint. Dedicated to Haiti’s rich culinary and cultural heritage and his Carribean fare, Chef Paul Toussaint has returned to the Market to continue serving hearty and spicy Haitian cuisine. Diners are able to embark on a voyage with a menu featuring his crackling griot with piquant pikliz, accra fritters or fall-off-the-bone pineapple-and-rum ribs.

With his savoury burgers being widely considered amongst the best in the city, the world-renowned, local culinary giant brings his ingenious touch to Time Out Market Montréal with Burger T.
