Thomsons Kitchen & Bar located at the Hyatt Regency Calgary is a place where you can enjoy dishes prepared with fresh, locally produced ingredients from regional farmers and ranchers in Alberta.

We had the pleasure of dining there twice on our visit and here are some highlights of the wonderful eats.


All-Day Dining Menu
From the all-day dining menu, we went with the
Duck Liver Paté
Crispy onion, pickles, grainy mustard, cherry compote, sourdough bread

Organic Alberta Chicken Supreme
Marinated in herb oil, mascarpone truffle spinach risotto, seasonal selection of vegetables, red wine demi


Alberta Bison Striploin “New York Style”
6 oz grilled bison striploin, baked russet potato, herb sour cream, seasonal selection of vegetables, herb garlic butter, red wine demi



Lemon Meringue Cheesecake
White chocolate cheesecake, lemon curd, torched meringue, seasonal berries

Stampede Whiskey Sour
Stampede whiskey, lemon juice, egg white, simple syrup





Kid’s Chicken Fingers & Fries
Breaded crispy chicken fingers, french fries, plum sauce

Kid’s Cheese Burger
4 oz Alberta beef patty, cheddar cheese, burger sauce, brioche bun, fries

I enjoyed the delicious dishes, inviting atmosphere and attentive service. I would recommend them for an enjoyable dining experience in Calgary.
