Taste Around Kamloops returns January 21 to February 8, 2026, inviting diners to explore the city’s culinary scene during the heart of winter. The annual festival features specially curated three-course dinner menus priced from $25 to $70, with local restaurants presenting signature dishes that reflect both regional ingredients and global influences across the Thompson Valley.

The program is presented by the BC Restaurant & Foodservices Association in partnership with Tourism Kamloops and Taste Around BC, with the goal of supporting the restaurant community during a traditionally slower season while encouraging residents and visitors to plan evenings around dining, culture, and downtown activities.
This year’s edition continues to pair food with entertainment and winter experiences. The historic Paramount Theatre hosts food-themed films throughout the festival, and on February 6 at 8:00 pm, comedian and former Chef Ali Hassan brings his live show Does This Taste Funny to the stage. Known for his work on CBC Radio and television, Hassan draws on food, family, and culture, creating a natural connection between comedy and a night out during Taste Around.
Restaurants across Kamloops are participating with prix-fixe menus designed for the festival. ATLAS Steak + Fish Kamloops is offering a three-course menu with options such as Smoked Potato Chowder, Black Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna, and Strawberry Pavlova Cheesecake, with an optional wine pairing.
TABLE twelvefifty, formerly Romeo’s Kitchen + Spirits, is showcasing a menu inspired by Canadian flavours, including chicken lollipops, smashed potatoes, and a lava cake. Match Eatery and Public House is presenting a pub-style three-course menu featuring French Onion Soup, a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and Mini Tiramisu.
Bright Eye Brewing on the North Shore is offering a $25 menu built around comfort dishes such as soups, salads, mac and cheese, and a chocolate tart. Cordo Resto and Bar is highlighting regional ingredients with a three-course menu that includes Winter Mushroom Risotto and Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding. La Condesa in Downtown Kamloops is featuring west coast and Mexican-inspired dishes such as Tuna Toast, Beef Tenderloin, and Flan Mexicano, with multiple price tiers available.
Other participating venues include The Noble Pig with a menu that features Winter Salad, Coconut Chicken Curry, and Tres Leches Cake, Twisted Steak with a classic steakhouse-style offering including a Meatball Skillet, 5oz New York Steak, and Tiramisu. There is also Barside Lounge and Grill, Moxie’s Grill and Bar, Mittz Kitchen, Kelly O’Bryan’s, and Smashville Burger Bar at Yew Street Food Hall. More restaurants and menus are being added throughout the season.
Taste Around Kamloops is also supported by local accommodation and attraction partners, encouraging visitors to extend their stay with hotel offers and nearby experiences such as BC Wildlife Park and family-friendly properties across the city.
