The menu is intended for guests looking for lower-priced options that can be ordered separately or combined into a larger meal. Pricing and participation may vary by restaurant.

New items include the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza Snackwich and Turkey Caesar Snackwich, both served on warm ciabatta bread.

Other Snackwich choices include Turkey Ranch, Honey Mustard Ham, BLT and Three Cheese.

Breakfast options are served on warm ciabatta bread and can be customized with different vegetables and sauces. Choices include sausage and egg, bacon and egg, cheese and egg, sausage and cheese, or ham and egg.

The Fresh For Less Menu has several sides and snacks too. The new Meatball Marinara Protein Cup has 21 grams of protein, but is not available in Quebec.

Guests can order the new Doritos Sweet Chili Heat Footlong Nachos or Doritos Nacho Cheese Footlong Nachos. Other choices include Fiesta Beans & Corn Salad, Potato Rings, soup and Mini Cookies in boxes of eight or 12.

Subway Canada introduced the menu after conducting their first State of Lunch Report. The survey found that 85 per cent of employed Canadians said it had become harder to find fresh lunch choices at a price they felt comfortable paying.

Nearly three-quarters of respondents considered lunch important, yet 59 per cent said they had skipped lunch during the work week.

Cost affected what people ordered. Thirty-eight per cent reported reducing portion size to save money, and 30 per cent had compromised on ingredient quality, convenience or variety. One in four said they would choose fresher food if lunch were more affordable.

Fresh For Less items are prepared to order and available at participating Canadian restaurants. Add-ons and taxes cost extra, and delivery orders may have added fees. The menu cannot be combined with other offers and is available for a limited time.

Guests can check the Subway Canada website or app for local pricing and participating restaurants.
