Silver Star Mountain Resort is enhancing its winter experience with expanded flight access and a variety of new activities, setting the stage for a memorable 2024-2025 season. Located in British Columbia’s Monashee Mountains, Silver Star boasts over 3,200 acres of skiable terrain, offering a winter wonderland for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Convenient New Flight Routes
Starting December 2024, U.S. travellers will find it easier to reach Silver Star with new daily flights into Kelowna International Airport (YLW) from Los Angeles. In January 2025, daily flights from Seattle (SEA) will also be added, making Silver Star a more accessible destination. These flights complement the resort’s existing connections from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Montreal.
Once in Kelowna, visitors can make the one-hour journey to Silver Star with rental cars or convenient shuttle services. This expanded access is a major boost for international visitors seeking a seamless trip to one of B.C.’s premier ski destinations.
Family Fun on the Slopes and Beyond
Families will find Silver Star an ideal destination with its laid-back vibe and kid-friendly features. The mountain’s mellow frontside terrain is perfect for families looking to enjoy skiing at their own pace, with fewer crowds. Off the slopes, Tube Town, Brewer’s Pond, and mini snowmobiles keep the fun going after dark. There’s even a community fire pit for roasting s’mores and enjoying the après-ski atmosphere.
