Quan Ju De is a MICHELIN one-star restaurant in Vancouver that is known for their crispy and juicy Beijing Duck.
We visited them for their lunch special combo for 2 and here is my honest review.
To start, the lunch special is a great deal priced at $169 for 2 people which they say is 35% off from a value of $264.
It comes with 5 courses including the Beijing Duck. Normally, the Beijing Duck is priced at $128 a la carte so the lunch special is pretty good.
The meal began with their Signature Duck Soup which was nicely nourishing.
Next were succulent and tasty Signature Soy Sauce Tiger Prawns with Garlic.
There was also a spicy, tender and moist Steamed Yellow Croacker with Scallion Oil and Sichuan Pepper.
Next came the showstopping Quan Ju De Signature Beijing Duck which was expertly carved at tableside. It came with steamed crepe, scallion, cucumber, and sweet soybean paste.
Finishing off was a Suzhou-style mooncake (as it was Midautumn Festival at that time) with a red bean filling.
Almond cookies
We also received some almond cookies at the end.
We also ordered a raspberry mojito mocktail.
The overall experience was excellent from start to finish.
The gold-accented dining room is a feast for the eyes, blending classic opulence with strikingly modern design.
Our bill was over $200 plus tax and tip and included some rice bowls and other drinks we ordered. I definitely recommend the lunch special combo for 2.
Quan Ju De is located at 2808 Cambie St, Vancouver.
