Looking for a serious slice of pie? Gabi & Jules in Port Moody is just the place for that. All pies are baked fresh daily and made with a real butter crust as well as quality fruits and spices. Owners Lisa and Patrick Beecroft named the bakery after their two daughters. Eight-year-old Jules has autism, and part proceeds from the sale of each pie goes to support local autism charities.
I was invited to a media event where attendees enjoyed Gabi & Jules signature pie flavours paired with Rocky Point Ice Cream and local brews, crostada-making lessons, live entertainment and a picnic-style setting. Here are photos of the event.
I really enjoyed the rich buttery crust and delicious tart apple filling of their pies. Along with ice cream, this made for the most comforting and delicious treat on a warm, fall evening.
