Here are our recommendations for the best NYC spots to watch the Macy’s July 4th fireworks as well as other celebrations.
Empire State Building
The Empire State Building is hosting its recurring Fourth of July Fireworks Party, catered by in-house restaurant STATE Grill and Bar. The exclusive evening includes DJs, Americana-themed hors d’oeuvres by Executive Chef Morgan Jarrett, and a two-hour open bar, from 7:30pm to 9:45pm. Guests will have a one-of-a-kind view of the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular from the 86th floor open air deck as well as a party with refreshments on the 80th floor. Tickets ($525) are now available here.
The Highlight Room
The Highlight Room offers the perfect vantage point to witness this historic display with unparalleled views over the Hudson.

Perched 16 stories above the Lower East Side, The Highlight Room combines breathtaking panoramic views with stand out cocktails and gourmet bites, making it the ideal spot for a memorable 4th of July celebration. A glass wall spans the entire width of the bar, folding back to allow access to the outdoor terrace, where guests can take in the iconic firework display illuminating the skyline in the nation’s largest Independence Day celebration.
