Here’s to saying goodbye to 2025 and welcoming a new year. Here are ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in Chicago including events and special offerings by restaurants and local businesses.

New Year’s Eve is Wednesday, December 31 and New Year’s Day is Thursday, January 1.

New Year’s Eve Chicago 2025 and Day Brunch 2026

This list is not exhaustive and I update the information becomes available. I try to feature as much as I can but certainly this is not all that is out there. If your favorite restaurant is not on the list, I would recommend contacting them to see what they are offering.

Kit Kat Club in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve Dinner & Drag celebration on Wednesday, December 31, from 6 PM to 2 AM, themed around The Great Gatsby. Dinner packages are priced at $89.95 and include a four-course prix-fixe menu, two signature martinis, and a Champagne toast at midnight, with seatings at 6 PM and 8 PM and the option to stay for the full evening. A late-night dance party runs from 10 PM to 2 AM with tickets priced at $149, including a 90-minute open bar from 10 PM to 11:30 PM, selected martinis, DJ-led dancing, and a midnight Champagne toast. Dinner guests may remain for the dance party. Tickets are sold in advance, with tax and gratuity included.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in the Chicago suburbs is offering New Year’s Eve to-go holiday dining options available for pickup on Wednesday, December 31. Guests can pre-order Perry’s Holiday Feast for 4 TO-GO, priced at $169, built around a 3 lb. prime rib cooked medium rare with au jus, a family-size soup or salad, two family-style sides, and Perry’s house bread. Side options include whipped potatoes, three-cheese mac and cheese, creamed spinach, thick-cut chargrilled vegetables, and au gratin potatoes. Pickup is available from 11 AM to 9:30 PM at the Oak Brook, Schaumburg, and Vernon Hills locations. Orders are online only, with tax and a 15% handling fee applied.

Folklore in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve celebration at their Wicker Park location on December 31 from 9 PM to 3 AM. The Argentine restaurant is hosting a DJ-led party featuring Latin, pop, dance, reggaeton, disco, and classics, with no cover charge and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Reservations are suggested but not required.

FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve Supper Club dinner on December 31 from 5 PM to 10 PM at Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. The three-course prix-fixe menu is priced at $80 per person and includes options such as lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail martini, braised lamb shank, seared king salmon, vegetarian Wellington, and an optional slow herb-roasted prime rib upgrade. Guests dining on New Year’s Eve receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. They are also offering a New Year’s Day brunch on January 1 from 9 AM to 3 PM. The brunch is served buffet-style at $59 per person, featuring build-your-own omelets, a carving station with honey-baked ham and prime rib, a mashed potato bar, made-to-order pancakes and waffles, bakery items, fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, and charcuterie. Optional add-ons include Bottomless Mimosas for $25 or a Bloody Mary Bar for $40.

SHŌ Omakase in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve omakase experience with seatings at 5:15 PM and 8 PM. The 10-course tasting menu is led by Chef Mari Katsumura, with optional NYE-only supplements such as Hokkaido scallops. Krug Champagne is available by the glass.

The Barn Steakhouse in Evanston is offering New Year’s Eve dinner from 5 PM with their full à la carte steakhouse menu plus seasonal specials. Additional dishes include Bluefin tuna tartare, Georges Bank scallops, Maine lobster roll, and Barolo-braised short rib.

Eden in Chicago is offering New Year’s Eve dinner from 5 PM to 10 PM with à la carte specials alongside their regular menu. Featured dishes include Tater Tots & Caviar, pastrami-spiced duck, and a wood-grilled NY strip prepared Oscar-style.

Gene & Georgetti in Chicago is offering New Year’s Eve dinner from 11 AM through midnight with a celebratory à la carte menu. Highlights include Adamas caviar service, seafood tower, Maine lobster bisque with black truffle, truffle tagliolini, risotto con caviale, holiday-only prime rib, and cotechino with lentils.

LeTour in Evanston is offering New Year’s Eve dinner from 5 PM with their full brasserie menu and three NYE specials. Additions include pan-roasted branzino with fennel and citrus, U15 scallops with harissa and saffron beurre blanc, and bone-in short rib with winter vegetable ragu.

The Albert at Hotel EMC2 in Chicago is offering New Year’s Eve dinner from 5 PM with a four-course prix-fixe menu priced at $90 per person. Menu options include smoked duck consommé or hamachi crudo, saffron shrimp risotto or lamb sausage garganelli, roasted rack of lamb or crab-crusted snapper, followed by a chocolate dessert course.

State and Lake Chicago Tavern in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve four-course prix-fixe dinner from 5 PM priced at $75 per person. The menu includes lobster bisque, sole and lobster soufflé with caviar, prime tenderloin with broiled lobster tail, and raspberry chocolate soufflé.

ROOF on theWit in Chicago is hosting the Phantom on the ROOF New Year’s Eve party from 9 PM to 2 AM. The ticketed masquerade event includes a live DJ, dancing, skyline views, a midnight countdown, and a champagne toast. Tickets start at $65.

The Metropolitan in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve event on the 66th and 67th floors of Willis Tower. The evening includes an all-inclusive package with hors d’oeuvres, desserts, champagne, cocktails, multiple DJ-led party rooms, and a midnight countdown. General admission includes four hours of service, while VIP tickets extend to five hours with reserved seating areas and skyline views.

Palmer House Hilton in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve celebration across multiple historic ballrooms. The all-inclusive format features hors d’oeuvres, champagne, cocktails, live music, DJs, and a midnight countdown. General admission includes four hours of service, with VIP tickets extending to five hours and access to private bars.

Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve ball spanning several ballrooms. The ticketed experience includes multiple buffet stations, bars, DJ-led dance floors, and a midnight confetti countdown. General admission and VIP packages differ by service length and seating access.

Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago is offering a Prohibition-themed New Year’s Eve party. The all-inclusive event includes cocktails, desserts, multiple DJ areas, and a midnight champagne toast across two floors. General admission includes four hours of service, while VIP tickets add extended service and reserved seating zones.

The 101 Chicago in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve party overlooking Michigan Avenue. The event includes an all-inclusive package with hors d’oeuvres, champagne, cocktails, DJs, live music, and a midnight countdown. VIP tickets extend service time and include access to reserved seating sections.

City Hall Chicago in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve celebration in Fulton Market. The ticketed event features DJ-led dance floors, cocktail service available for purchase, and a midnight countdown. VIP table reservations are available, with access to pre- and post-parties included.

The LaSalle Chicago, Autograph Collection in Chicago is offering a New Year’s Eve event set 21 stories above street level. The all-inclusive format includes hors d’oeuvres, pasta, desserts, champagne, cocktails, DJ entertainment, and a midnight celebration. VIP tickets extend service time and seating access.

Anita Dee Yacht Charters in Chicago is offering New Year’s Eve weekend cocktail cruises. Cruise options include live DJs, skyline views, and select sailings timed for fireworks viewing. Drinks are available onboard, with multiple departure options across the holiday weekend.
