Mano Po is a Filipino food vendor at Smorgasbord LA.

“Mano Po” is a Filipino tradition wherein elders give blessings to the younger person. The one who is receiving the blessing would bow their head, take the right hand of the elder (of their right hand as well), and place it on their forehead.
They offer Filipino Comfort Food including Chicken Inasal (Mesquite grilled boneless chicken leg meat with calamansi and lemongrass marinade); Manila BBQ chicken; Longganisa Lumpia (sweet Filipino sausage wrapped with rice paper); Longganisa Fries (sweet Filipino sausage, shoestring fries, mozzarella cheese) and more.

We got the Liempo which featured grilled pork belly with garlic rice and Atchara (pickles made from grated unripe papaya). The pork belly was nicely grilled and smoky and went well with the garlicky rice. The pickles help cut through the fattiness.
