Lucky Hong Kong Restaurant Richmond BC Terra Nova [Review]

Lucky Hong Kong Restaurant is a new Hong Kong-style restaurant that has opened at Terra Nova Village in Richmond.

The restaurant is open from 8:30 am – 9 pm and has breakfast and lunch/dinner menus.

Their breakfast menu is served from 8 am – 11 am and features noodles in soups; congee; pastries and dim sum.

The lunch/dinner menu features snacks, fried rice & noodles, noodle in soups, tofu pots and more. All meals come with a hot drink. Extra fee for cold drinks.

Their takeout menu is 10% off.

What We Tried

We went in for lunch and tried A28 – Typhoon Shelter Style Seafood Fried Rice $17.98; B06 – Chicken Udon Noodle Soup $18.98; and A62 – Rice Noodle Chicken with Vegetables $17.98.

The Typhoon Shelter Style Seafood Fried Rice was our favourite and had good wok hei. It was mildly spicy and had shrimp and fish pieces.

I really enjoyed the Rice Noodle Chicken with Vegetables which had very tender, dark meat chicken pieces.

The Chicken Udon Noodle Soup was pretty good too. The chicken came on the side and the broth was tasty.

For drinks, we got an Almond Milk; Lemon Tea; and Ovaltine.

The servers were pretty nice. Our total was $57.69 plus tip and I thought it was reasonable for the quality of the food and portions. They accept credit card at no extra charge.

The interior features has a mix of rectangular dining tables and round tables.

They also have some decor that pays homage to Hong Kong’s vibrant culture.

The only thing is that their lunch and dinner menu does not include pastries and congee. I overheard some people complaining about that.

I would recommend them and return to try out some of their other dishes.
