L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand Las Vegas is an award winning, world class dining destination showcasing the artistry of the most influential figures in the culinary world, the late Chef Joël Robuchon.

The restaurant was awarded 1 star by the MICHELIN Guide when Las Vegas had one in 2009.

While their sister restaurant Joël Robuchon next door is very formal, L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon boasts a more casual atmosphere but still an elevated, fine dining environment.
Reservations
You need to make a reservation ahead of time as they do not accept walk-ins. You definitely should try to plan ahead but their reservation was not as hard to get compared to Joël Robuchon.
Open Kitchen Concept
Guests are seating around the open kitchen where the meal is prepared before their very eyes for an intimate and interactive experience. You will have an unobstructed view into the kitchen where award-winning dishes are sliced, diced and sautéed to perfection.

The contemporary, sleek dining room has a vibrant, energetic ambiance. I loved the red, gold and black tones. They seemed to be playing upbeat, electronic music in the background.
Menu
L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon also offers both an a la carte menu; table d’hote ($125 4 courses with options for each course) and a seasonal discovery menu ($205 10 courses with fixed choices for each course).

Overall Impression
I had a great time overall at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and as a solo diner it was a comfortable experience. It was my first time dining at a Joël Robuchon restaurant and it met all my expectations.
The service was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The open kitchen concept was wonderful. The culinary team were focused, but still relaxed and seemed to exude a very polished performance.
The dishes were delicious and went well with each other. I didn’t feel anything was too similar to each other.
The food I thought were closer to classic preparations but well-executed. You wouldn’t find anything ultra creative, unique and out-of-the-box.
The only thing was that the seats are quite tight at the bar so you don’t have much room or space for yourself.
My favourite dish was the Caramelized Quail Filled with Foie Gras Served with Chef Robuchon’s Potato Puree. The mash potatoes were super smooth and buttery!
The Evian Water was $10 but it was very refreshing!

I would love to try the other L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon around the world and would recommend the dining experience at the Las Vegas location.
