My Experience
I made attempts to try their AYCE but it just didn’t seem worth it to me in terms of time and energy to try to get into the restaurant.
I first tried at around 1 pm and there was a long lineup. I then tried at 3:30 pm which was near their closing for lunch service and there was still a lineup.
To me, the restaurant seemed understaffed and swamped by number of people wanting the AYCE lunch deal. When I went in, there was no staff managing the front. There was a booklet where you could put your phone number down and number of people and there was a line of people. It wasn’t clear to me if they were pulling from the line or calling from the booklet. This suggests to me that I need to spend some time and energy covering my spot in line and listening for my number to be called? I wasn’t very confident in the process but I’m sure it was OK considering people do end up dining there.
Also, because I joined the line near the end of their lunch service, I wasn’t sure where the cutoff was exactly. So I was at risk of being cutoff perhaps because there was no one in front to talk to.
The $20.99 AYCE deal seems great and there have been positive reviews on Google noted for them. The trick is to perhaps lineup before they open at 11:30 am. Based on the people I talked to in line, I think the wait is probably at least a half and hour.
Like many restaurants, they are perhaps struggling and just needing to get people through the door. But I wasn’t too confident that I would get an experience that was worth my time and effort based on the staffing levels and how they managed the queue. To each their own.
