Firehouse Subs Adds Two Smokin’ Honey Melts

Firehouse Subs has expanded their melt menu with two new sandwiches featuring honey chipotle sauce, melted provolone, caramelized onions and bell peppers.

The Smokin’ Honey Chicken Melt and Smokin’ Honey Steak Melt are now available at participating restaurants. Both sandwiches build on the chain’s growing selection of hot melts, which includes the Steak & Cheese Melt.

Customers should check the Firehouse Subs restaurant locator or their local online menu to confirm pricing and availability. Menu participation may differ by restaurant and market.

What Is in the New Smokin’ Honey Melts?

Honey chipotle sauce serves as the main flavour component in both new sandwiches. The sauce combines an initial sweetness with smoky chipotle flavour and a mild level of heat.

Each melt comes with melted provolone, brown sugar caramelized onions and red and green bell peppers on the chain’s signature top-sliced toasted roll.

The protein selection distinguishes the two menu items. The Smokin’ Honey Chicken Melt is prepared with sliced grilled white-meat chicken breast. The Smokin’ Honey Steak Melt uses flame-seared USDA Choice prime rib.

The combination creates a hot sandwich with sweet, savoury and mildly spicy flavours. Provolone contributes a creamy element, and the peppers and onions bring sweetness and texture to the filling.

Smokin’ Honey Chicken Melt

The Smokin’ Honey Chicken Melt contains grilled chicken breast, melted provolone, caramelized onions, red and green bell peppers and honey chipotle sauce.

A medium sandwich contains 55 grams of protein, according to nutritional information released by the company. Actual amounts may vary since each sub is prepared to order.

Grilled chicken gives the sandwich a milder base that keeps the honey chipotle sauce prominent. The sweetness from the sauce and onions is balanced by the smoky flavour of the chipotle peppers.

Smokin’ Honey Steak Melt

The Smokin’ Honey Steak Melt replaces the chicken with flame-seared prime rib while keeping the same cheese, vegetables and sauce.

A medium sandwich contains 47 grams of protein, according to the company. The beef gives this version a richer savoury profile that works with the caramelized onions and melted provolone.

The new steak sandwich follows the introduction of the Steak & Cheese Melt, which features prime rib, provolone, caramelized onions and bell peppers. Honey chipotle sauce gives the Smokin’ Honey version a sweeter and mildly spicy finish.

New Cookies & Crème Cookie

Firehouse Subs has introduced a new dessert alongside the melts.

The Cookies & Crème Cookie is a blonde cookie made with white crème chips and pieces of chocolate sandwich cookies. The cookies are baked in participating restaurants each day and are available for a limited time while supplies last.

The dessert brings together vanilla, white crème and chocolate cookie flavours. Availability may differ by restaurant, so customers should confirm the dessert is offered when ordering.
