Eataly, the global Italian marketplace and retail concept, will open its third store in Toronto at CF Shops at Don Mills on Thursday, May 30 at 1 P.M.
The outpost follows the recent opening of Eataly Sherway Gardens in November 2023 and the 2019 opening of the company’s Yorkville flagship at Bay and Bloor Streets. This is the second city in North America, beyond New York, to have three Eataly locations.
At nearly 10,000 square feet, Eataly Shops at Don Mills is designed as a curated Italian experience with a neighbourhood feel. True to the brand’s high-quality DNA, the new location will feature one restaurant, a retail footprint with a range of imported and local delicacies, and several quick service counters.
The expansion marks Eataly’s second store in partnership with Cadillac Fairview.
The Restaurant
As the core dining concept at Eataly Shops at Don Mills with 180 seats, the restaurant will offer both indoor and patio seating for guests. Focusing on the icons of Italian gastronomy, the menu includes traditional pasta dishes such as Tagliatelle alla Bolognese and Rigatoni all’Amatriciana, an array of authentic Pizza Napoletana, and mains from premium seafood to Bistecca alla Fiorentina. The wine list will have more than 85 selections of Italian wine from regions North to South, along with seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
The Market
An embodiment of Made in Italy, the Eataly marketplace provides the best versions of everyday staples – from extra virgin olive oils to a diversity of pre-cut salumi and formaggi. In addition to hundreds of imported Italian goods, the retail assortment will include Eataly’s housemade line as well as an offering of items from local producers in Canada.
The Counters
Several quick-service counters will be available for guests in need of an on-the-go option:
- La Pasticceria, the pastry counter with cakes, croissants, and more baked goods made fresh daily
- Il Gran Caffè, an all-day coffee bar
- Pizza alla Pala, with a variety of Roman-style pizza
- La Salumeria, a counter dedicated to Foccacia Farcita and panini
