Dallas restaurant Meridian debuts Happy Hour

Just in time for prime patio season, Meridian, the highly acclaimed modern Brazilian restaurant led by Executive Chef Junior Borges, announces the debut of Meridian Happy Hour.

Offered every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 4:30 to 6 p.m., the happy hour features four dishes not on the regular menu, along with one menu favorite, priced from $3 to $17.

A selection of cocktails — including Meridian’s popular Caipirinha — are offered at $9 each.

Four wines, including Dom Maria Brut sparkling wine from Val dos Vinhedos in Brazil, are $9 per glass. Beers are $6.

Borges is particularly excited to introduce the highly allocated, phenomenally delicious, first-come-first-served Meridian X-Tudo Burger.

Pronounced Sheesh-Tu-Du, X-Tudo burgers are the insanely popular everything-on-it burgers you find all over Brazil.

Rounding out the food items are a Linguiça Sandwich (starring house-made Calabresa sausage, beer mustard and griddled onions, $15); Torresmo (crispy pork belly with black lime, $8); Yuca Fries with garlic aioli ($7) and Oysters on the half-shell with gooseberry, Thai chile and rosé mignonette, at $3 apiece. (The oysters are the only dish on Meridian’s dinner menu, where are they priced at $23 for half a dozen.)

Opened on May 11, 2021 in Dallas, Texas and led by executive chef Junior Borges, Meridian is the first fine-dining restaurant in the United States to feature modern Brazilian cuisine. Situated in the heart of The Village, Dallas’ premier residential development, the 3,700-square foot, 80-seat restaurant has the breezy feel of a pavilion; an arresting exhibition kitchen with a wood-fired hearth serves as its heart. The dining room offers views of the adjacent 35-seat patio under a canopy of majestic live oak trees. Many of the restaurant’s ingredients are grown in the Chef’s Garden, a stone’s throw away.
