Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID) is thrilled to invite families and friends to once again gather at beautiful Peacock Park on July 4th for an unforgettable Fourth of July celebration. This year’s festivities promise to offer a mesmerizing evening of music, lights and community enjoyment, with a special firework show, live performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), and multiple opportunities to explore local businesses and restaurants and win exclusive prizes.
“We are so excited to be welcoming guests to Coconut Grove for our highly anticipated annual Fourth of July celebratory event,” said Mark Burns, the new executive director of Coconut Grove BID. “We invite you to bring your family and friends for an evening of fun, dazzling shows and walkable exploration. Besides being a fantastic way to celebrate our nation’s independence, it’s a great way to support our local businesses and restaurants. Consider grabbing a to-go meal or snack to enjoy the show; it’s a win-win since you get to experience the community while enjoying delicious food,” he added.
The festivities are just steps away from Central Grove’s vibrant restaurants, retail shops, and hotels. Beginning at 5 p.m., guests are invited to take a fun-filled family stroll around Coconut Grove and participate in an explore-and-win-game. At the Peacock Park Information Booth, guests who pick up and complete a sticker rally board by visiting five or more local shops or restaurants, can head back to the booth to receive a premium Coconut Grove-branded picnic blanket, perfect for watching the concert and fireworks. Prizes are limited so guests are encouraged to complete the activity early.
For this year’s celebration, the Business District has been divided into five themed sections for a series of strolls:
- Commodore Plaza: “Commodore Liberty Parade”
- Grand Ave: “Grand Avenue Freedom Stroll”
- McFarlane Rd: “McFarlane Stars & Stripes Search”
- Main Highway & Fuller St: “Main & Fuller Independence Journey”
- Virginia, Florida, and Mary St: “Tri-Street Freedom Trail”
Hosted by the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID), the epic Fourth of July event kicks off at 7 p.m. at Peacock Park, located at 2820 McFarlane Road – just steps away from Central Grove’s vibrant restaurants, retail shops and hotels. Entry is free for all, ensuring everyone can join in the celebration!
The evening will include an enchanting performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, the Official Symphony Orchestra of the City of Miami, under the baton of Maestro Eduardo Marturet and will fill the air with patriotic tunes and classic favorites like Frank Von Suppé’s ‘Light Cavalry Overture’ and John Philip Sousa’s iconic ‘The Stars and Stripes Forever.’
Under the open sky, the orchestra’s awe-inspiring melodies will create a truly magical musical experience for everyone to enjoy while watching a thrilling firework show. The fireworks will illuminate the night sky with a dazzling display of lights, making this Fourth of July celebration truly one to remember.
This event is proudly sponsored by the City of Miami, Commissioner of District 2 Damian Pardo and Coconut Grove Business Improvement District.
