Here’s a look at a few Cinco de Mayo happenings in Chicago this year.
Moe’s Cantina River North
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo from Wednesday, May 1 through Sunday, May 5 at Moe’s Cantina River North. The restaurant will be festively decorated all week; it will open at 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and at 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Cinco de Mayo week specials include a $30 Margarita Flight (any flavor) and Patron Margarita Towers, normally $80, will be only $60.
Tree House River North
Tree House will add its colorful décor and delicious Italian-inspired food and drink to the Cinco de Mayo celebration, Thursday, May 2 through Sunday, May 5. The spirit of Mexico will also be present throughout the week. Specials include $8 Palomas, $8 Margaritas and a $60 Patron Tower. Also, appetizers will be half priced during the week. Enjoy uniquely crafted pizzas—Neapolitan-style and Detroit-style—plus a delicious collection of Italian-inspired bar classics.
FONDA Cantina
For Cinco de Mayo, FONDA Cantina is offering an incredible 4-course dinner experience in partnership with Codigo 1530, one of the world’s most selective tequila brands. On Sunday, May 5th beginning at 6 p.m., the dinner will showcase Codigo 1530 pairings with each course created by Chef Miguel Escobar and team. Tickets are now available for $69 per person (++).
Celeste
This Cinco de Mayo, get ready for an unforgettable fiesta like no other as Celeste joins forces with DJ Twan and Trifecta Records to bring you the party of the year on Sunday, May 5, from noon to 8 p.m. Celebrate the spirit of Cinco de Mayo in the heart of River North with beats spun by DJ Twan, BRKN, Mars, Cedeno Jezu B2B Gabe GLVZ, Rika B.
