The delicate layers, the buttery aroma, the crisp golden exterior – there’s something truly irresistible about a perfectly made croissant. Here are my recommendations on where to find the Best Croissant in Vancouver (BC Canada) with regular and novelty options.

I’m a croissant lover but I must admit that I have not tried every possible croissant in the city. But the ones I have mentioned here, I have tried and can recommend them.
So what criteria do I use? First and foremost, the croissants need to be made in-house. The business must not be relying on an external supplier for their croissants.
Next, the croissant should have a deep golden color, with a delicate shine from the egg wash applied before baking.
The exterior should be crisp and flaky, while the inside should be tender, light, and airy.
The croissant layers should separate easily, revealing a honeycomb-like structure.

Each bite should offer a satisfying balance of buttery richness and a mild sweetness.
Lastly, the croissants must be of reasonable value in terms of quality, size and cost. We all know how the cost of everything has gone up, but some croissants I have tried are just priced too high for what is being offered. I am including ones that are of reasonable value which is usually around $4 – $5 for a plain croissant. I have tried $6+ plain croissant and they are not worth it even considering their premium location in Vancouver.
