Artisanal Ice Cream Pop-Up on Chicago River Opens for Summer

This summer, city-dwellers can enjoy gourmet ice cream and other sweet treats at The Langham, Chicago Ice Cream Social pop-up, which just opened on May 3 on the hotel’s plaza, a beautiful outdoor space along the Chicago River with sweeping scenic city views.

Featuring a curated menu by Executive Pastry Chef Walleska Cianfanelli and Executive Chef Damion Henry, the Ice Cream Social features handmade cones, artisanal gelato flavors such as mint chocolate stracciatella, sorbet flavors like watermelon tajin, stunning toppings, plus a special treat option for beloved furry friends.

Menu highlights include: 

  • Pretty in Langham Pink Sundae: Strawberry cheesecake gelato, mini pink macaron, sprinkles, mini cheesecake pieces, 24K edible gold, cotton candy cloud 
  • The Croffle: Buttery croissant baked a la waffle iron served with vanilla bean gelato, hot chocolate fudge, while chocolate cream, chocolate shavings and caramelized hazelnuts 
  • Affogato Al Caffe: Espresso over soft-serve vanilla bean or chocolate gelato 
  • Pup-A-Lato: Banana gelato with peanut butter swirl & carob cookie sandwich (all natural, dog safe, non-dairy)

The Langham Chicago Ice Cream Social is open this summer on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
