Ingredients
- 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup Vegetable Oil
- ½ cup Molasses
- 4 Eggs
- ¼ Cup Applesauce
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ½ cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 cup AP Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves
Method
- 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Whisk oil, sugar and molasses together in a bowl
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla.
- Slowly add in water and whisk together.
- Stir in applesauce.
- In a separate bowl, combine salt, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves together in a separate bowl.
- Slowly add the bowl of dry ingredients into the first bowl and stir until they are just mixed (don’t overmix).
- Pour into a 10-inch cake pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 38 minutes.
