Menya Tsuzuki is a new food court-style ramen shop located on the second floor of Robson Public Market in Downtown Vancouver. Run by Japanese chefs, the compact counter specializes in tonkotsu ramen, abura soba and mazesoba, with each order prepared fresh and delivered directly to the table.

The shop is currently open Thursday through Saturday from 11 AM – 8 PM. During their opening promotion, the Original Tonkotsu Ramen and Tan Tan Mazesoba are each available for $9.99.

Menya Tsuzuki Menu
The ramen menu includes Original Tonkotsu for $12.95; Tonkotsu Black and spicy Tonkotsu Red for $13.95; and Jiro Style Ramen for $15.95.
Brothless noodle options include Abura Soba for $12.95, spicy Kara Abura Soba for $13.95, Taiwan Mazesoba for $13.95 and Tan Tan Mazesoba for $14.95.
Customization options include extra meat, extra noodles, seasoned egg, onsen egg, green onion, white onion, spicy miso paste, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots and garlic oil.

Small side dishes include Mini Chashu Don and Mini Curry for $6.95 each, along with rice for $3.
Original Tonkotsu Ramen
I started with the Original Tonkotsu Ramen, which normally costs $12.95. The pork bone broth was rich and creamy but still gentle, without tasting overly salty or heavy. It came with three large slices of tender chashu and smooth, firm noodles that held their texture well.
I added a seasoned egg for $1.95. It was nicely cooked, with a soft centre that added more richness.

Tan Tan Mazesoba
I also tried the Tan Tan Mazesoba, normally priced at $14.95. The chewy noodles were coated in a creamy, savoury sesame sauce with a noticeable level of spice. A soft poached egg added richness and mellowed some of the heat once mixed into the noodles.

The tonkotsu was the more comforting choice, while the Tan Tan Mazesoba offered stronger spice and a more concentrated sesame flavour.
Table Delivery in a Food Court Setting
Menya Tsuzuki operates from a counter inside Robson Public Market, but staff bring finished orders directly to the table. It is a small detail, though it makes the experience feel more person in a food court setting.

Final Thoughts
My first visit to Menya Tsuzuki left a positive impression. The Original Tonkotsu Ramen had a balanced broth, generous chashu and firm noodles, while the Tan Tan Mazesoba delivered plenty of sesame flavour and spice.
The $9.99 opening promotion offers particularly good value, and the regular menu prices are still reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
Menya Tsuzuki is worth checking out for well-made ramen and mazesoba in a relaxed food court setting.
