Miss Vickie’s Cacio e Pepe Flavoured Kettle Cooked Potato Chips have returned to stores across Canada as part of the brand’s limited-edition Ristoranti Series.
The flavour was developed in collaboration with Vancouver Italian restaurant Ask for Luigi, translating one of their most popular pasta dishes into Miss Vickie’s signature kettle-cooked chip format. The chips combine sharp, creamy cheese notes with cracked black pepper, drawing inspiration from the simple ingredients and careful preparation behind traditional cacio e pepe.
Cacio e pepe translates to “cheese and pepper.” The classic Roman pasta is made with pasta, Pecorino cheese and black pepper, creating a creamy sauce without the addition of cream. Miss Vickie’s version brings those savoury, peppery flavours to crisp potato chips with a firm kettle-cooked crunch.
The collaboration was developed through restaurant tastings, dish analysis and several rounds of seasoning adjustments involving the Miss Vickie’s research, culinary and development teams. According to Ask for Luigi co-founder Jennifer Rossi, the simplicity of cacio e pepe leaves little room for error, making precision central to both the pasta and the chip flavour.
The Cacio e Pepe chips first appeared in 2025 and returned for 2026 after the original Ristoranti Series attracted considerable interest from Canadian snack fans. The 2026 collection arrived at retailers across Canada on July 12.
The Ristoranti Series features three restaurant collaborations from different Canadian cities. Along with Ask for Luigi’s Cacio e Pepe flavour, the collection includes Vodka Sauce Pizza chips created with Toronto’s Pizzeria Badiali and Spicy Pepperoncini & Focaccia chips developed with Montréal restaurant Nora Gra
Miss Vickie’s Cacio e Pepe Flavoured Kettle Cooked Potato Chips are sold in 190-gram bags and are available for a limited time at participating Canadian grocery retailers.
