American Express Canada has expanded Card acceptance at three Canadian restaurant chains: Chuck’s Roadhouse, Smoke’s Poutinerie, and Mandy’s Salads.
The new merchant signings give American Express Cardmembers more dining locations where they can use their cards across Canada. The expansion includes casual steakhouse dining, poutine, and salad-focused restaurants, reflecting the company’s continued focus on everyday acceptance in places Cardmembers frequent.
New Restaurant Chains Accepting American Express in Canada
Chuck’s Roadhouse, Smoke’s Poutinerie, and Mandy’s Salads are now part of the American Express merchant network in Canada.
Chuck’s Roadhouse is known for casual dining, including steaks, burgers, ribs, chicken, seafood, and bar-style menu items.
Smoke’s Poutinerie is a Canadian quick-service brand focused on poutine, with variations built around fries, cheese curds, gravy, meats, vegetables, and sauces.
Mandy’s Salads offers salads, bowls, smoothies, and other fresh menu items, with locations in several Canadian markets.
American Express Focuses on Dining Acceptance
Dining remains a major spending category for American Express Cardmembers in Canada. According to American Express internal merchant spend data, Cardmembers spent an average of $3,000 CAD on dining and made more than 75 dining purchases in 2025.
American Express says Card-accepting dining locations in Canada have increased by more than 1.5 times since 2021. The company is accepted at millions of places across Canada, including many restaurants, cafés, and everyday dining businesses.
Support for the Canadian Restaurant Industry
American Express Canada also works with restaurant industry organizations, including Restaurants Canada and Association Restauration Québec. These partnerships support the company’s work with hospitality and foodservice businesses across the country.
The company is also a sponsor of MTLàTABLE, Montréal’s restaurant event, where participating restaurants can reach diners exploring the city’s culinary scene.
