Lay’s Canada is introducing four limited-edition potato chip flavours inspired by global cuisines ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026, with Canadian grocery and retail locations expected to carry the lineup beginning in mid-May.

The new release connects food, soccer, and collectable packaging as Canada prepares to co-host the tournament with the United States and Mexico. Canada is the only global market where soccer players will appear on Lay’s packaging, with bags featuring Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi, Sir David Beckham, Richie Laryea, and Nathan Saliba.
The Canadian packaging includes Richie Laryea and Nathan Saliba from Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team, giving the release a local connection for fans watching the tournament in Toronto, Vancouver, and across the country.
Four Limited-Edition Lay’s Flavours Coming to Canada
The new lineup includes Lay’s Bacon Poutine, a Canadian-inspired flavour featuring the taste of brown gravy, cheese curds, and smoky bacon. The packaging features Richie Laryea and Nathan Saliba, reflecting Canada’s role as a host nation.
Lay’s Cheese Soufflé takes inspiration from France, with a creamy toasted cheese profile and a sharper cheese note.
Lay’s Steak & Chimichurri is inspired by Argentina, pairing tangy chimichurri seasoning with a grilled meat flavour.
Lay’s Cheese & Onion brings a U.K.-inspired flavour to Canadian shelves, combining sharp cheddar-style cheese with savoury onion.
Collectable Packaging for Canadian Fans
The limited-edition bags are part of Lay’s global No Lay’s, No Game platform, which brings together soccer figures including Henry, Messi, and Beckham. In Canada, the campaign includes local representation through Laryea and Saliba, making the Canadian release distinct from other markets.
The packaging is designed to connect each flavour with a country or soccer figure, giving fans a snack release tied directly to the global tournament atmosphere.
FIFA World Cup 2026 Ticket Contest
As part of the campaign, Canadian consumers can enter the Lay’s You Could Win FIFA World Cup 2026 Tickets contest by purchasing two participating Frito-Lay products and uploading their receipt through No Lay’s No Game.
The contest includes a chance to win two tickets to one of 13 Canadian FIFA World Cup 2026 matches taking place in Toronto and Vancouver, along with $1,500 CAD in spending money. Weekly draws also include $100 FIFA store e-gift cards.
