Air Canada unveiled a new premium lounge space at Vancouver International Airport to serve domestic travellers in the C concourse. This 84-seat facility marks the second Café location for the airline in Vancouver and reflects their commitment to enhancing the West Coast travel experience. The design covers nearly 4,500 square feet near gates 50 and 51, providing a quiet environment for passengers to relax before their flights.

Local design firm SmartDesign Group developed the interior to honour the natural beauty of British Columbia. The space features a sculptural ceiling that mimics the Stanley Park shoreline and lighting from A-N-D inspired by river rocks. Guests can view regional art from Renée Van Halm and a custom piece by Coast Salish artist Kelly Cannell from the Musqueam Nation. These elements create a serene atmosphere that connects the airport experience to the local landscape.
The culinary program focuses on regional flavours and locally sourced ingredients. Travelers can enjoy warm char siu pork bao buns, vegan curry bao, and freshly made vegetarian Kimbap. Sweet options include treats from the renowned Lee’s Donuts based on Granville Island. This menu showcases the diverse food culture found throughout the city.
A full-service bar provides a wide range of beverage options for guests. The menu includes Narrative Red and sparkling rosé from the Okanagan Crush Pad along with various international wines and crafted cocktails. Baristas serve specialty barista-made coffees while local craft beers are available on tap. This expansion allows Air Canada to provide their premium customers with more space and high-quality amenities within their domestic network.
