And Drinks is a new bubble tea shop that has opened at Yaohan Centre in Richmond with a focus on real fruit and real ingredients. They are located on the exterior of the mall on the left side of the main entrance on No 3. Road and not in the food court.
The menu centres on Milk Lattes, Matcha Drinks, and Fruit Teas, with most drinks priced between $5.99 and $7.00. Signature drinks highlight taro and ube combinations such as Taro Milk with Mini Taro Mochi, Ube Milk with Sweet Potato Mochi, a Taro Latte with Espresso, and a layered Matcha Strawberry Latte.
For those who prefer something closer to a café style drink, the Local Farm Fresh Milk Series features espresso-based options made with fresh milk (with oat milk choices availale). Options include Ube Latte, Taro Latte, Ube Oat Latte, Brown Sugar Pearl Milk, and Classic Milk Tea.
Matcha drinks are grouped into their own series, pairing matcha with fruit and milk in blueberry, mango, and strawberry versions. The layered presentation keeps each component distinct and visually appealing.
Lighter options fall under the Real Fruit Series, which focuses on fruit forward teas and refreshers. The lineup includes Berry Mix Fruit Tea; Passion Fruit with Mango Boba; and Real Mango Pomelo with Popping Pearls.
Fresh taro is steamed in-house, giving the drinks a naturally creamy base, and finished with mini taro mochi, which adds a soft, chewy texture.
Customization is simple, with toppings like Taro Cheese Foam; Mini Taro Mochi, Pearls; Jasmine Tea Jelly; and Coffee Jelly. There is also a small coffee section with staples such as Americano and café latte.
Seasonal drinks add a warm touch to the menu. We tried the Gingerbread Marshmallow Frappe featuring Classic Milk Tea with a Gingerbread Cookie in a slushy format, while the Baked Apple Cinnamon warm drink uses BC apples and cinnamon for a comforting option during cooler weather.
We also had the Ube Milk With Sweet Potato Mochi which had a naturally sweet ube flavour and soft, chewy mochi that add contrast without overwhelming the drink.
The Ube Latte is a natural pick if you usually order coffee, offering a smooth, lightly earthy taro profile that pairs comfortably with espresso.
The Real Mango Pomelo With Popping Pearls combined fresh mango sweetness (as sweet as it gets for off-season), gentle citrus notes from pomelo, and playful pops from the pearls.
I enjoyed all the drinks that we tried and found the quality and pricing reasonable. I prefer bubble tea drinks that use more natural ingredients. Overall, I would recommend giving And Drinks a try!
