McDonald’s Canada will host McHappy Day on Thursday, May 8, offering Canadians a simple way to support families with sick and injured children through every food and beverage purchase made that day.

Now in its 31st year, McHappy Day raises funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada and other local children’s charities. Proceeds from any order—whether made in-restaurant, via Drive-Thru, through the McDonald’s app or McDelivery—will help provide accommodation, meals, and support to families staying close to their children in hospital.

To date, McHappy Day has raised over $100 million for RMHC across Canada. One in four Canadians has either stayed at a Ronald McDonald House or knows someone who has. With 16 Houses and 19 Family Rooms across the country, the organization plays a vital role in helping families remain near their children during critical medical treatment.
Ways to get involved this year include purchasing McHappy Day socks for $6, choosing a donation amount for McHappy Day Hearts in restaurants, and rounding up order totals to the nearest dollar. On May 8 only, McDelivery users will receive $0 delivery fee offers on orders placed through the McDonald’s app and select delivery partners.
